The desire to participate as a speaker

At times, when an acquaintance discovers I have been a serious speaker since 1957 – fifteen years as a full time professional – they ask, "Were you a motivational speaker?" to which I reply, "I don't know."

It's not that I don't know what motivation is, I do, but believe it is best when discovered within. I encourage audiences to find what's better for them.

If your motivation to speak is high, speak, keep speaking, keep

becoming a better speaker... don't let anyone talk you out of it.

If you don't want to speak, don't... don't let others talk you into it.

Also, who isn't motivated? Lack of motivation isn't the problem. It's rank ordering the myriad desires we feel. My solution is to answer three questions: What do I really want to do? Who do I really want to be? How do I really want to see my life with others in our place on the planet?

With that in mind, I can form my plan for participating in life with speaking a central part. That means improving my knowledge, opinions and beliefs, then speaking wherever I am asked, whenever I can.

It's that simple; it's not easy, yet it is possible and invigorating. OleŽ !
