Doing what we want; being who we are; flows from our premise
Motivation – the desire to participate – is easy, commitment is the hard part with actualization the fruit. As I write this page thought gremlins keep intruding... "time for another cuppa"... "have you checked your email?"... My commitment must cast them aside, knowing they may return.
The premise to create effective audience experiences is my commitment in both speaking and writing. What's yours? Embrace it. It's more than important, it's essential. Resolve to keep becoming a better speaker.
In his book, On Writing, Stephen King said the way to become a better writer is to write some every day and read some every day. Extending that to speaking I speak some every day and listen to speakers every day.
My speaking is either delivering a program or practicing material. My listening is watching videos or listening to speakers CDs as I travel.
