"The effective public speaker serves four purposes – Telling, Speaking, Explaining, Catalyzing – using each to create specific audience experiences.

  

It's Your Turn:

Write a short description of your topic's premise. Take your time. Edit it until you can say it aloud and it sounds like you. This is your quality setpoint. (If you don't do this, you may develop a bit short of your best.)
