There may come a time in every life...

In my teens I loved science fiction, but never embraced science fantasy. Yet this page is pure fantasy, how I foresee living in my nineties and beyond, assuming...

The blessings and burdens of human consciousness seem countless. We have endowments, limitations, potentialities, opportunities, all available in varying degrees. One issue I see as important is the idea of having role models. My top ten includes my parents, one teacher, a boss, my wife, two writers and three speakers.

A role model is someone we choose as a life exemplar in some aspects of living the better way. We choose then not vice versa. When someone suggests another is a role model, my initial reaction is, "For some, not all."

For good or bad, however, everyone is an example. Whether others see us as role model is their choice. They might be surprised if they knew all?

This concludes the journey through The Segues and Stages of Living. As I recall, Sir Alfred North Whithead wrote, "The sole purpose of reading is to force the mind to do it's own thinking." If not him, another. Whomever, it seems important. All the best.
